Billing and Plans

Free vs Pro comparison, item caps, sync frequency, and the upgrade flow.

Austin's Comic Collection has two tiers: a Free plan that covers the essentials for hobbyists and casual resellers, and a Pro plan that unlocks bulk actions, AI descriptions, and faster sync for power users.

The Free plan is genuinely free — not a trial, no credit card required. If you outgrow the item cap, upgrade; if you do not, you can run a small-volume reseller business on Free forever.

Pricing

Pro is billed monthly or yearly. See the pricing page for current pricing — we keep it on the marketing site so price changes do not require a docs edit.

Yearly is roughly 20% cheaper than 12 × monthly. Both plans cancel at the end of the current billing period; there is no proration on downgrade.

How the upgrade flow works

  1. Click Upgrade to Pro from anywhere in the app (the dashboard banner, the settings page, or the help pages where a Pro feature is referenced).
  2. You will be redirected to Stripe's hosted checkout.
  3. Enter card details (or use a stored Stripe payment method if you have used Stripe with another site).
  4. On successful checkout you are bounced back to Settings → Billing, which now shows your Pro status, next renewal date, and an invoice history.

Pro features unlock within five seconds of checkout completion — there is no manual approval step.

How the downgrade flow works

From Settings → Billing → Cancel Pro you can cancel at any time. The cancel takes effect at the end of your current billing period, not immediately — you keep Pro access for what you have already paid for.

If you cancel and you have more than 50 items in inventory, downgrade is not immediate — the cap only kicks in when you next add or import an item. We do not delete anything to enforce the cap; you just cannot create new items until you archive enough to drop back to 50.

Refunds

We are happy to refund the most recent Pro charge if you ask within 14 days. Email 11sosam11@gmail.com from the email on your account.

Item cap details

The 50-item Free cap counts:

  • Anything with status Active, Draft, or Sold (Sold rows stay because they have year-end tax value).
  • It does not count Ended, Returned, or Archived items.

You can stay under the cap indefinitely by archiving Sold items once you have filed taxes for the year they belong to. Archived items still contribute to historical reports but do not count toward the active cap.

Stripe receipts

Every charge generates a Stripe receipt sent to your account email. You can also download PDF invoices from Settings → Billing → Invoice history, which is what your accountant will want at tax time.
