Managing Listings

The Inventory page is the day-to-day workhorse — every item you own, every listing you have live on eBay, and every recent sale lives here. This page covers the columns, the status transitions, and how to edit efficiently.

Status lifecycle

Every item has a status that captures where it is in your workflow:

• Draft — created locally, not yet listed on eBay. Useful for items you have photographed but not finalized.
• Active — live on eBay. Synced from eBay's listing API.
• Sold — has at least one matched order. Sale price and proceeds visible inline.
• Ended — was on eBay but is no longer active (you ended it manually, or it expired without selling).
• Returned — sold then refunded. The return is logged as a REFUND ledger entry automatically.
• Archived — manually hidden from the default inventory view. Reports still include archived items if their dates fall in the report window.

Status transitions happen automatically on sync (Active → Sold when an order lands, Sold → Returned on a refund event). Manual transitions are allowed for Draft and Archived.

Columns and what they mean

The default columns are:

Click the column header to sort. Click Customize columns in the toolbar to hide or reorder.

Inline editing

Some fields can be edited directly from the row:

• Cost basis — click the cell, type a number, hit Enter or Tab. Auto-saves.
• Purchase location — click the cell, pick from your saved locations (or create a new one inline).
• Purchase date — click to open a small date picker.

For deeper edits (title, condition, category, photos) click the row to open the detail drawer.

Bulk select

Check the boxes in the leftmost column to select multiple rows, then use the toolbar that appears at the bottom of the screen. Free-tier bulk actions:

• Tag with location
• Mark as Archived
• Export selected as CSV

Filtering

The filter bar at the top of the page supports:

• Status — multi-select.
• Listed price range — min/max.
• Purchase location — multi-select.
• Sold within — relative date range (last 7 / 30 / 90 days, custom).
• Has photo — yes/no.
• Has cost basis — yes/no (useful to find items missing data).

Filter state is persisted in the URL so you can bookmark a frequently-used view.
